Phillippa still remains a familiar face in the student gallery after graduating from the iPhotography course some time ago! If you don’t know her by name, you will certainly know her by her style. Pippa makes the most of her natural surroundings, natural lighting and muted tones combined with skilful editing technique is what makes her stand out from the crowd. What we love the most is the story she conveys and the connection she captures through her work.
Phillippa’s Quote: “ My inspiration for my photography is my children. I have a grown-up son, teen daughter as well as a young son. I realised upon the birth of my third child that children are little for such a tiny amount of time, I wanted to capture every moment. We have 16 summers with them if we are lucky. Which is why I love to capture them while they are still small to remember all their little details, frozen in an image. Children’s portraiture is my preferred genre, for this reason, to capture them for their parents and for them to enjoy to once they have grown. I love to edit in a painterly style making the image timeless, to hopefully be hung on a wall for generations to enjoy.”
