London Night/Day Photowalk
We’ve made a gap in our diary to arrange this great event to wrap up a fantastic 2024. This London photo meetup is led by Stephen Walton, iPhotography head tutor, with years of experience in helping photographers, just like you, improve their shots.
This unique meet up starts after sunset on Saturday 30th November at the Tower of London.
We’ll use the cover of darkness to practise our nighttime and long exposure photography shooting Tower Bridge before making our way to finish at Liverpool Street Station.
The route will take in the sights of the Tower of London, Walkie Talkie Building, The Gherkin and the Lloyds Building.
This evening session will last approx 2-3 hrs.
Wake up the next morning feeling motivated, refreshed and ready to go shooting again!
Starting the morning at St. Paul’s Cathedral we’ll then head to the Southbank and finish our day at the Walkie Talkie building (and hopefully a visit up to the Sky Garden TBC).
The route will take in the sights of The Millenium Bridge, London Bridge and The Great Fire of London Monument.
This daytime session will last approx 2-3 hrs.
iPhotography is all about making the most of the camera you have in your hand – whether it’s a phone or a DSLR – we’ll help you make the most of it.
Given that we’ll be shooting at night a tripod will be extremely helpful for the evening session.
While there will be no 1-2-1 tutoring time or organised shooting, you’re welcome to ask questions at any time.
Bring along a couple of memory cards and spare batteries too. It’s up to you if lens filters, though you might find this useful for creative shots.
Consider the location and the weather on the day in terms of what to wear and bring.
Each session, day and night, is expected to last 2-3 hours each. If you can’t make both of the sessions, you’re welcome to just attend one instead.
During the walk, you’ll get to meet fellow photographers and find out more about what they enjoy shooting. We might even stop for a drink when we finish!
It’s a great way of making lasting friendships and connections with other like-minded shooters, especially if you usually shoot alone.
