The best way to learn more about photography is to have a good tutor by your side – and a iPhotography workshop gives you just that. Our workshops cover a range of photography skills from learning how to get the best exposure, to focusing upon creative compositions as well as how to perfectly edit your photographs.
Workshops are ideal for photographers who want to take their shots to the next level with focused training in a live environment alongside other photographers and tutors.
Even if you’re a passionate beginner looking to progress quickly, or an experienced amateur refreshing their training you’ll benefit from a photography workshop.
Spread out over a full day (6-8 hours) our photography workshops are carefully designed and structured to make the learning process fun, interactive and most importantly, educational.
Workshops are hosted by iPhotography tutors and professional photographers. Depending upon the size of the event, there may be more than one tutor on hand to help you on the day.
Whilst our workshops are a chance for you to meet other photographers in attendance, your tutor will set aside 1-2-1 time with you personally. We’ll chat about shots and give you feedback. It’s a perfect opportunity to ask questions if you’re not into public speaking!
Before you attend a workshop you’ll know what to expect, with clear communication about the day’s plan, where you’ll be meeting and what to bring along.
Workshops are more suited for photographers who have got at least an entry-level DSLR or Mirrorless camera. Whatever lens you have will be fine, but if you’ve got a couple of options, pack them all in your back.
It’s events like this you’ll want to make the most of so bring a tripod, extra batteries, memory cards and lens filters if appropriate. Consider the weather and the location and dress accordingly as you may be outdoors for a few hours.
If the weather isn’t suitable for the event you will be contacted with adequate notice and the workshop rescheduled. If you aren’t able to attend the rescheduled date you will be fully refunded.
If the workshop includes an on-site photo editing lesson (see each event itinerary) then you’ll need a laptop or tablet with a suitable photo editing app/software installed. Don’t forget any cables or adaptors to transfer your photos to your device too.
Unless otherwise stated, lunch will be provided at our workshops, bring along some extra snacks and water for when you’re out in the field shooting.
