Floral Photography at RHS Bridgewater
This floral photography photo walk is led by iPhotography tutor, Stephen Walton, a professional photographer with nearly 20 years of experience to help you to improve your photos.
This RHS Bridgewater walk will take you through the beautiful gardens awash with colourful themed borders, complementary sub-gardens each exploring a different horticultural style and characterful listed buildings. While there is no exact route we’ll be taking, we should get to pass by;
Full details of the meeting point will be included in a confirmation email when you reserve your spot. There is a cafe and restrooms on site near the car park.
It doesn’t matter what camera equipment you have. During the photo walk, your tutor can show you what settings to use and when to make the most of a moment. It’s a good idea to pack light with room for snacks and water.
Bring along a couple of memory cards and a spare battery too. It’s up to you if you want to take your tripod and lens filters, simply consider the location and the weather on the day.
A macro lens or macro lens filters would be advisable to bring if you have some already, but they aren’t essential. Otherwise, lenses between 35-100mm will be suitable.
Our RHS Bridgewater photo walk lasts approximately 5 hours through the site. While there won’t be a precise route, we’ll make the most of all the blooming fauna and flora available.
Along the walk, you can chat to fellow photographers and find out a little more about what they enjoy shooting. It’s a great way of making photo friends if you normally shoot alone.
Most of the photography will focus on the art of floral photography and how to capture striking macro and natural images.
Entrance to RHS Bridgewater is included in your booking fee.
Min Group Size: 4 (walks may be cancelled if the minimum group size is not met).
Time: 11am – 4pm
Accessibility: Suitable for All
Also included in this event is a private online editing session with your group and tutor. The date for this 1-hour class will be arranged after the event and be hosted via Zoom. You can show off your shots, get editing tips and get feedback from others.
